Your authentic sexual self

Develop a healthy relationship with yourself as a sexual being.

A healthy relationship to sexuality includes our sexual orientation, sexual expression, relationships, and pleasure. It’s an essential element of our overall health and well-being.

Maintaining a healthy relationship with our sexual selves requires positive and respectful attitudes about sexuality and sexual relationships and the possibility of having pleasurable and safe sexual experiences. There are a lot of issues and experiences that can get in the way of us understanding our sexuality and showing up authentically.

Society often tells us what sex “should be,” and counselling can help deconstruct that discourse and help identify what we want sex to be. Misinformation, low self-esteem, difficulties with communication, abuse, and past negative or traumatic experiences can all impact our view of sex and sexuality and diminish our sexual well-being. Vanessa employs a variety of therapeutic approaches to help you talk through the challenges preventing you from developing a healthy relationship with sex and your sexuality.
